Difference between Fuzzification and Defuzzification
Fuzzification: Fuzzification is basically a process of translating a crisp value into a fuzzy value. In this process, exact crisp value is translated into linguistic wnverts the crisp value into linguistic variables like short, tall, very tall.
Defuzzification: Defuzzificationis the opposite of the fuzzificationmethod. It is the process of translating the fuzzy value into crisp value.
Fuzzification | Defuzzification |
---|---|
1. Fuzzification is the process of converting precise data into imprecise data. | 1. Defuzzification is the process of converting imprecise data into precise data. |
2. Here, erisp value is mapped into linguistic variables | 2. Here, fuzzu value like cold, very hot, hot are converted into erisp value like 850C. |
3. It is considered as simple and easy process. | 3. It is considered as complex process. |
4. Methods are inference, angular fuzzy sets, intuition, neural network etc. | 4. Methods are centroid method, center of sums, weighted average method, maximum membership principle etc. |
5. Examples are like, voltmeter. | 5. Examples are like, stepper motor and D/A converter. |
6. It then rules are used for fuzzifyingthe crisp value into fuzzy value. | 6. Center of gravity methods are used to get the exact centroid of sets. |
